Lost & Found

Well, it's amazing the things you will find when you do a thorough cleaning of your house. The kids and I did just that yesterday to the livingroom and diningroom/office and found 2 items thought to be lost forever. First was Patrick's Gameboy. He was grounded from it back in Feb/Mar for low grades and I told him to put it up. Well, when he became ungrounded, he had forgotten where he put it. We turned this house upside down looking for it. Finally gave up and he started saving up for a newer model. Well, he's got the money for the new one and low and behold Elizabeth found it yesterday. Now, I'm embarrased to say where she found it, but I will. It was in the glass candy dish sitting on the desk in the livingroom. I have moved that dish a dozen times to get to the drawers in the back of the desk looking for that gameboy. :( Anyway, it's found and all was right in their world until they realized that now Elizabeth's is missing. :(
The second major find was a video tape that Tim thought he had lost when they went to camp. It had all the major events of this year on it, including Patrick's baptism. I really really was depressed about losing it. Elizabeth's recital & kindergarten graduation, the children's choir musical from church among other events were on that tape. I was heartbroken, but in cleaning out under the computer desk, lo & behold, there it was. At first I was like "I wonder what that is?" I started watching it and hope began to spring up that this was indeed the missing tape. I stopped the tape and rewound it some more and when I pushed play and there was E's dance recital, I shouted for Joy. I was one happy Mommy. The kids thought I was nuts.
So the moral of the story is, clean your house and see what you find.

I am so glad you found that tape. Some of it I think I didn't get to see. I know how you would feel. I wonder if my movies would play now?
Now he can bank his money and play the old gameboy. I told you that it would turn up in the most of odd places. It did!!!
I was surprised at another post so soon.

Love you all, Mom

Melissa, I love love love that video of Elizabeth's recital! That is too cute!! Hmmm...do you think Larr would let me put Aidan in dance lessons?

I wish he would. I'm wishing Tim would let me put Jacob in, but not manly enough I guess. The studio where E takes lessons had 5 little boys enrolled last year. They were so cute in their costumes. Of course they didn't have tutus and tights, but they were cute. :)
