And so it begins.......

We have begun on our projects to redo the kitchen. We are going to strip the paint off the cabinets, then we are going to paint them, then eventually replace the counter top. The cabinets are going to be a medium shade of green. The walls are going to be tan, like the rest of the house, and then the trim will be Daffodil Yellow. The doors on the upper cabinets will be yellow as well. (We are actually considering all the upper cabinets yellow, not just the doors.) We will also carry those colors into the dining room. Here is a picture of the kitchen before we moved in 5 years ago. Why are we redoing, you might ask? Because it doesn't look that good anymore. :)
We are also going to wall in the sliding door between the boys room and the dining room.
Don't know how long it will take to do all this, but I'm figuring on at least 6 months or so. :( Hopefully not that long, but with marching season looming ahead, I don't know how much work will actually be done.
If you feel the need to paint something, come on down and we will gladly hand you a paintbrush. :)
